TG3NOC1D3
So I recently upgraded to fiber internet but when connecting my R2 with the ONT modem I'm losing about half my speed. I seem to be getting capped at 500/500, sometimes 600Mbps. Would this be the R2 limitation or is there something I seem to be missing? Thanks ๐ย
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 7, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 7, 2022 Have you entered the correct speeds into Bandwidth settings? Where are you testing the speeds exactly and on what device? If you disable QoS fully do you get faster speeds?
fakkel
I download with full 125Mbps on the Playstation 5 1Gbps connection (1000Mbit) 1000Mbit รท 8= 125 Mbps So it is possible with the Netduma R2 100% and stable as well.

I'm testing internally with the R2 and with the desktop speedtest app. Tried it with qos off and still getting more of the same. Sorry for the late reply, work had me slammed for a bit. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 14, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 14, 2022 No worries, could you disable the protection options in WAN Settings as well and retest please? Are ALL devices connected to the R2 or are any connected to the upstream modem/router and how is that setup to pass traffic through to the R2? Connection is Fiber Modem > R2 > Devices, fiber modem is just a modem. No routing protocols, pure modem only.

I also went ahead and tried upgrading to 3.2 on the R2 and factory reset after and it's the same issue.

That will be the maximum you're able to achieve then through the router then which is still pretty good considering all the features at play TG3NOC1D3

Did another factory reset and got 920/920 pretty consistently so I'm pretty happy with that. Now to see how the geo-filter plays with this new fiber provider. Thanks for all your help on this brotha!
