JueyBizco
I bought the R2 when it came out. It only gave me problems from the beginning. First, the wifi kept disconnecting every so often; I had to disconnect it and connect it to make it work. I have to admit that Fraser tried to help me with some updates, but they did not work, and I gave up. Since I wasn't playing much, I saved it to wait for more updates. I connected the R2 again today and checked if the recent updates fixed the issue. But, the router doesn't connect to the internet. The reset button doesn't work, and I cannot connect to the router's user interface. Wifi lights are turned off. I think my router was broken from the start. I shouldn't have given away my R1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2022 Set a static IP on the PC with the following details IP address: 192.168.77.100 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.77.1 If you're not sure how to do this, you can check this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows then try accessing 192.168.77.1 please and see if it works. Then you can upgrade if needed or initiate a reset from the interface instead.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2022 Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, wait 2 minutes then hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 2 minutes before accessing the interface and see if it works without static IP

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 26, 2022 Administrators Share Posted April 26, 2022 I think you might need to try and factory reset a few times, sometimes it takes a few before one takes in this situation, do it 3 times, if it's still not working let us know
JueyBizco
I'm very sorry about all this. I still have the same result. The factory reset button does not work. I tried five times and nothing, I even tried turning it off for 10 minutes on the last try, and nothing happened.
