Stephenmd
Hello I currently have a spectrum e31u2v1 -> asus zenwifi ax -> zenwifi ax mesh node -> r2 (all wired) I dont have any issues at the moment but i was curious because I have a lot of devices both wired and wireless (about 30-40) which should be in my r2 dashboard for properly setting up the r2 for it’s best potential. Is there any way I can get that based on the way it’s currently set up or would I have to put the r2 in front of the zen wifi? (Would really prefer the first option) I dont expect you to know how to set it up on an asus router but would it be possible to use my zen wifi for wifi and my wired devices but have every device come up on the r2? Netduma Liam
For the R2 to see network devices, they need to be connected directly to the R2 or downstream of the R2. If you were to put the R2 above the Asus in the network, the R2 would have control over everything in the network but in Device Manager you would only see the Asus rather than all the devices connected to it. If the Asus has the option to run as purely as access point, you may then see all devices on the network in Device Manager though. The only way to achieve this would be to have the R2 higher up in the network though, such as: Spectrum E31U2V1 -> R2 -> Asus ZenWiFi -> Mesh Node -> Connected Devices. Stephenmd
I am leaving out a bunch of performance by having it the way I do atm? My main devices plugged into r2 are xbox x, ps4, & two pc’s

My main devices plugged into r2 are xbox x, ps4, & two pc’s The main thing you're missing out on in your current configuration is the full ability of QoS. Currently you've got devices connected upstream of the R2 and therefore DumaOS has no control over their traffic, so it could interfere and hold up your gaming. With all devices connected through the R2, DumaOS can ensure that nothing gets in the way of your important traffic.
Stephenmd
so i made the switch of having my r2 in front of the zenwifi and everything was pretty much functional with no issues for a while until a few days ago where ive had to reset the r2 around 10pm every night. i ended up reverting to the way i had it before but the issue has persisted. im not too sure why. log-1651812214517.txt

When you say reset are you fully factory resetting the router or just rebooting it? Are you able to access the DumaOS interface when the issue occurs? Stephenmd
Yes I need to unplug and restart the r2. Upon setting up the r2 to the way I had it, I factory reset. And no dumaos interface wasn’t available during the down time
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 8, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 8, 2022 So basically the internet and interface stop working and you need to reset it to get it working again? In LAN Settings set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects.
