ISP Modem/Router and NetDuma R2 Configuration question(DHCP, UPnP, DMZ, etc.)

I have the NetDuma R2 and a Hitron Coda-4582 modem/router combo from my ISP (Vyve Broadband). Short version, I can't put the Hitron in Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough without causing insane ping spikes and packet loss across the whole network, not even the NetDuma can control it. It's a problem before my home network that should be resolved within the next few month BUT in the meantime here's what I have to work with....

Hitron
-WiFi disabled
-Firewall disabled
-DHCP Static IP set for R2
-UPnP is On
-Cat6 plugged into R2 WAN Port

R2
-UPnP and DHCP are ON
-R2 WAN IP in Hitron Modem's DMZ
-WAN Network set to DHCP
-R2 is only device plugged into Hitron modem

Essentially I'm still getting double NAT etc. blah blah blah same old sob story. Question is, should I disable DHCP, UPnP, "SIP ALG" on the Hitron Modem? Or should I setup the R2 as an AP, plug the Cat6 into one of the LAN ports and disable these settings on the R2? All the digging I've done just returns vague suggestions and theories, and this is a bit outside of my knowledge in Networking.

Goes without saying, the goal here is to get rid of double NAT and then obviously to achieve the best performance, lowest latency possible with what I have to work with until the ISP fixes the Upstream issues

Are ALL devices on the network connected to the R2, or do some still connect directly to the Hitron modem/router?

IF you leave UPnP enabled and disable any port forwarding rules you've created, that should resolve the problem itself.

If it doesn't, DMZ/IP Passthrough would be the next best thing, although if some devices are still connected to the Hitron this will cause problems.

If ALL devices connect to the R2, and IP Passthrough/DMZ on the Hitron is still causing problems, we may need to look at doing some port forwarding until the ISP fixes these issues they're having.

In order to help further, could you let us know exactly which game you're playing where you're getting Double NAT and also let us know what device you're playing on (Xbox, PS PC...)?

All devices are connected to the R2. UPnP is enabled on both the Hitron modem and the R2. No port forwarding rules on the Hitron. I have 3 forwarding rules on the R2 however whoch are for my roommates PC for Rocket League.

I play Warzone on PC and it is Moderate NAT. However on my Xbox One X it shows a double NAT. I got Warzone to go to Open NAT on my PC until about 2 weeks ago when I factory reset both the Hitron and R2 during one of my many attempts to get rid of the spikes and packet loss while the Hitron is in Bridge Mode or IP Passthrough

OK that's fine, so what you'll likely need to do in the mean time is to set up port forwarding rules for your PC and Xbox on the ports that Warzone uses.

I'm assuming you mean on the R2, not the Hitron modem. I will certainly give it a shot, however, I even put my PC in the R2's DMZ, still Moderate after resetting my network settings on PC and power cycling, etc. It was Open with R2 before and I'd very much like to get it back to that

Set the rules wherever you've also got the rules set for Rocket League if that's OK. While testing this, I'd also suggest disabling filtering mode in Geo-filter to make sure that's not interfering with anything as that can cause Moderate NAT sometimes.

Wow, took my PC out of the R2's DMZ, added Port Forwarding Rules for Warzone along with MW and Vanguard, and now I have an Open NAT. Don't even care why that works but I'm glad it did so thank you for your help!

Along these same lines (this is going to be a controversial topic), but let's say I occasionally use a certain VPN that's not really a true VPN for Warzone, and said VPN uses the OpenVPN client... would this also be affected by Port Forwarding like a game would? Should I forward ports 1194 UDP and 443 TCP?

You shouldn't need to do any port forwarding with the game traffic being routed through the VPN, if you do though you could also try forwarding the above ports you mention.
