Netduma R2 no stable download speeds.

Hi,

I have a 1GB connection and without the Netduma I download with 125mbps. With the NetdumaR2 10mbps.

Also every few days QoS is no longer loading in the dashboard, not through the app or the browser.

I really like the idea behind the Netduma but it starts to annoy me, that every time something isn't working.

I just want to always download with the speed I pay for and that is basically it.

When I reset the Netduma it still downloads with 10mbps, when I restart the device multiple times. Like 5 times in a single night it picks up the 125mbps but next day it is the same. I tried all my friend and clients to buy Netduma products, but for that it needs to be at least stable...

Before I had a 600mbit connection and with the Netduma connected I would download between 75mbps and 55mbps with my ISP wireless modem only connected constantly with a 75mbps. But at least then Netduma would sit around 75.

My Netduma R2 is connected to my ISP modem through full bridge mode on my wireless modem side. I only use Cat 7 cables and they are all brand new.

In QoS it doesn't matter if I fully disable that or keep it on, back in the dat it would download with 75 nevertheless.

No, I run the newest Firmware I also factory reset my Netduma after that like you said.

It is just weird that if I reboot the Netduma through the app, the speed goes from 10mbps to 125mbps

But after a while, it slows down again on the PS5 it then goes from 1GB to 80mbit

QoS just keeps infinite loading, I reboot router and then sometimes it does load in and almost directly show up. But most of the time it is the only thing that never loads. On the app it says Netduma encountered a critical error (when I tick QoS) and should be rebooted. But not even a factory reset made it work/load longer than a few days.

I did get a new ISP modem a while ago when I went from 600/1GB but QoS has always given me an issue in the sense it just doesn't load. But with my old ISP modem and Netduma R2 combination it would at least constantly download with 70/100% of my max speed, when it didn't once in a while I did a quick Netduma R2 reboot and then it would work again for a couple of weeks. But since the last firmware update and the new Wireless modem I almost never reach my download speed through the Netduma and it is always precisely 80mbit 10mbps that I do make, every single time that precise speed and number.

I tried my ISP modem only and I do reach solid 1GB. I tried a Asus router with Merlin Firmware and directly picks up 1GB. The Netduma R2 99% of the time 80mbit few reboots and suddenly 1GB then a day later and same.... Again.

If you've recently changed your line with you ISP, you'll need to factory reset the R2 again to make sure it's set up properly for the new line.

What browser are you using to access the interface? Could you try clearing your cache and see if QoS can load properly?

While the issue is occurring, could you please go to Device Manager -> Click the three-line menu in the top left and then switch to table view. Take a screenshot of the top table and send that over to us.

I did that again, after I changed modem.

I use Google Chrome but also the app.

I changed modem, Factory reset the Netduma R2 and start from scratch but still have issues and only with the Netduma R2

From this?

I also get errors in the app itself.

So click the :menu icon on the Network Map and then switch to the table view and provide a screenshot please.

Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes before accessing and see if it QoS stops not loading.

Also in Settings disable the protection options as this can increase the speeds you receive.

It's interesting you mentioned on your previous modem you didn't have an issue with the R2 picking up speeds. Could you take the modem out of bridge mode and instead put the R2 WAN IP (from the System Information page) into the DMZ on the modem and disable the modem WiFi and see if your speeds are better?

I think the cable is bad because it is cat 7 and I do sometimes download with 125mbps which could never be achieved with a cable of 100mbit. I changed the cable for the precise same model cable and it now says 1000 and both are cat 7 same length and from the same batch, but one I still had in plastic.
