anon_the_nine
Hi I am observing the similar behaviour to this thread of the openVPN placing mobile clients in a different subnet in my case (192.168.2.X). I am trying to access certain local addresses (192.168.1.X) however, I am not getting a response from any of these sites whilst on a different subnet. From further testing I was able to determine the hybrid VPN feature of my XR500 is interfering with this in some way. I am able to access all local IP addresses that do not have its network traffic encrypted by the Hybrid VPN feature. However, IP addresses that have its traffic set to go through the VPN are no longer accessible. Is there a solution to my problem maybe a configuration? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 5, 2022 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2022 Which XR router and firmware version are you on currently? This isn't a normal usecase we have so I doubt this would have ever been tested. Can you use HybridVPN to only apply to the service/application/ports you want and thereby allow it to work through the normal connection or are you wanting it to apply to the whole device? anon_the_nine
Hi Fraser totally understand this isn't the usual usecase. I am using an XR500 running V2.3.2.130. Your solution to specifically VPN only the particular services/port range worked. Thank you so much
anon_the_nine
Hey Fraser is it possible to apply the VPN to the whole device?

You need to add the device to Hybrid VPN and select 'Do not VPN these services'.
