Login Problems

Recommended Posts

I Bought a used XR1000 off ebay from a seller with 100% feedback. Most of the time when accessing routerlogin.net or the IP I have to "recover" to get access to the interface. Very annoying. Is there a fix out? This happens on all browsers and all devices.

 Thanks

How did you do the reset, via the interface or via the reset button at the back of the router? What firmware version are you on currently? Are you using the default admin / password credentials or have you changed it to something else?

reset button

XR1000 1.0.0.58_1.0.44

ive changed the admin password, not the username. It never gives me the option to change username.

there is an option in administration to disable password reset. maybe that would work?

Tried resetting it for 35 seconds, still had login troubles. Now I just switched to Brave web browser and there are no issues whatsoever!

Off topic question:

My internet through ATT LTE. Max speeds are 180 / 40. However during the day when congestion hits the tower or maybe antennas get out of wack that can take a major hit. What do you recommend doing to keep QOS working properly without sacrificing my speed when it does come on strong? It's always at least 50mbps / 5 no matter the conditions.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!

Interesting, what web browser were you using before?

That's quite a drop in speeds and it's hard to have settings that will apply to it both - for example, if you have Congestion Control set to 70% for 180 bandwidth then if it drops to 50 then QoS won't be applied. Really what you would need to do is just change the bandwidth to what you're getting at the time and it will function correctly. In the future we are planning smart QoS that can adapt to those changes.

Chrome. It's also been giving me problems on my LTE router with golden orb login page. I'm liking Brave better so far..

Hmm, is there a way to deprioritize certain MAC addresses? I have 4 Wyze wifi cameras that are always uploading. May leave QoS off then but it would be cool to depri certain devices

That's odd, Brave is a Chromium based browser as well. Were you forcing HTTPS on Chrome?

You can't deprioritize specifically but you could add devices to Traffic Prioritization and don't add the cameras which in essence deprioritizes them

When I initially posted the issue was occurring on all devices but now it seems the cell phone works. Changed to different static ip on PC and still broke on  brave/chrome (Private browser). Internet explorer now works.

Yeah but there all off for both routerlogin.net and 192.168.1.1. Gotta say though this router is sweet, I was routinely getting 150ms lobbies and now have narrowed it into one server with a nice 50ms ping. Really cool thing ya'll got going on!

Thanks! Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

Regarding the error you're getting, check Firefox and see if that's doing the same thing. Would be good to know which browsers are having trouble and which aren't.

So far so good with Firefox. Quite often if I let the window sit open too long a "Missing JSON Response" notification pops up. Any idea what that's about? It doesn't seem to affect anything.

When that pops up, are there any entries in the logs around that time? I have seen this error once or twice before but I'm not sure there's a specific cause of it.
