openvpn connection fails

I get the following error when attempting to connect to my vpn server.

WARNING: Failed running command (--up/--down): external program exited with error status: 3

I have attached the full log and ovpn files.  I redacted ip, mac, and certificate.

The server that fails has a 200 Mbps connection.  This client config file works on another server with a slower, 10 Mbps, internet connection.

I added "--keepalive 10 30" to the client config file with no improvement.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

It's primarily developed for connecting to VPN providers so may not work as well if at all. Usually in the past when this has happened for someone in a similar scenario they needed to apply a username/password as HybridVPN requires this and then it can be connected to.

I have entered the user name and password in the advanced tab.  This works for a server with a slower internet connection.

HybridVPN is limited speed wise as to what it can handle but it wouldn't prevent a connection due to this. Is that literally the only difference?

I'll refresh the server software install and make sure that I'm using the same software version. It could be a timing issue with the initial handshake.

The server software is identical on both servers.

I'll pass the log onto a dev and see whether they can determine what might be happening

Thank you!  I tried throttling the fast connection to 10 Mbps and I still get the same error.

I uninstalled and then installed my vpn server again.  This time the vpn connects, but throw errors when data is flowing.

Are you still using the same OVPN config file? Are you able to provide us with it so we can double check as the log shows an issue with authentication.

I'm still using the same client ovpn config file.  I'm using a softether openvpn server, so I haven't found the server ovpn file.  It's buried in the source code somewhere.  I'm going to transition to using an openvpn server. Hopefully, that will resolve this.
