Hybrid VPN not connecting

I paid for pureVPN and set it up in the R2 according to the directions

it looks like the purevpn server listed in the duma firmware is out of date. will not connect.

PureVPN tech support recommends changing the server to: th2-auto-tcp.ptoserver.com
but there is no way to change server in the duma GUI

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Yes looks like we need to update the configs for the servers, in the meantime the best thing to do would be to download the OpenVPN configuration files from PureVPN and use them with the Advanced Setup for HybridVPN and then you can connect.

You would download them from PureVPN. Copy the contents of the file, paste into the Advanced section, put the PureVPN user/pass in the relevant boxes just like basic setup and connect.

I tried this.. it did not work..

Is there any way to update the netduma to use the new address? of get purevpn to turn the old address back on?

Or should i just get a refund and try the other VPN partner with the shady name?

You can use the one they mentioned in the config but if the config isn't working it won't connect anyway. Paste the config you're using here and we may be able to tweak it to work.

I have tried working with PureVPN support but the openvpn files also cause errors as seen in the logs below

Will Netduma work with them to fix the broken integration or should i just give up and try to get a refund?

There's no reason why using the config files won't work, can you paste here exactly what you're pasting into the configuration box in Hybrid VPN?

I used the full file sent to me by PureVPN see attached. it did not work. they are giving me a refund now.

i have now signed up and paid for the only other supported partner "hidemyass.com" what a sketchy name.. how will I explain this one LOL

However I am still having issues. The main reason i got this router was to use the easy hybridVPN to change locations on my TV and xbox.. but its the only feature that is not working..

BTW why is it so hard to copy the log file... the web gui unselects it as you are selecting the text.. strange..

Getting an authorization failed on that, if you're using the email to connect use the username instead and it should work, another user posted that worked just today. We need to update the basic setup files we have so that's not possible at the moment

I couldn't give a time frame on that at the moment. It will show NA that is normal. I gave you a file for New York. You can find the files for any server you want to connect to here: https://vpn.hidemyass.com/vpn-config/TCP/ yes just switch out the config when you want to change it.
