Exe_uz Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 I'm using ping plotter to check ping, but my ping to HOP1 - R2 192.168.77.1 is on average 1.7 m/s is this correct? If not, is there a way of reducing this? FYI Virgin Media - SH3 in modem mode.
RedBull2k Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 the device your using to do the pingplotter you can try ethernet. also reduce the interval to 2.5seconds
Exe_uz Posted August 10, 2021 Author Posted August 10, 2021 Thanks for info, but i am using ethernet and interval at 2.5 seconds. I also think i was generous with the 1.7ms its more like 2.1m/s

Exe_uz Posted August 11, 2021 Author Posted August 11, 2021 It's gone up to 3 m/s now, i've also used a new CAT 8 cable 😞

Exe_uz Posted August 12, 2021 Author Posted August 12, 2021 Plugged it straight into the VM router, now say 0.5 m/s thanks 👍

Exe_uz Posted August 12, 2021 Author Posted August 12, 2021 No i plugged the ethernet cable into the VM hub as you suggested
Netduma Liam Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 45 minutes ago, Exe_uz said: No i plugged the ethernet cable into the VM hub as you suggested OK so we know that couple of ms is caused by DumaOS. I don't think this will actually have any effect on your gameplay, but if you want to we can dig into what might be causing the additional delay. Revert back to your previous setup and try completely disabling QoS from the three-line menu in Congestion Control, then re-test.
