Wayne
ISP: Verison Fios Speeds: 940/880 I've spent hours and hours testing, when I limit my internet in QOS to 8% Download, and 1% Upload I get the results in the first screenshot: The second screenshot included is with QOS Disabled. I feel like I'm paying a lot for verizon fios to not be using the full speeds, will I have better results in warzone with the QOS on? Because my internet speeds are so high will they ever get congested? Why are my pings lower when QOS is on and my speed toggled? Also can you please explain how "AUTO-ENABLE" works in QOS, Thank you. Edit: Even with Always on in QOS and speeds are throttled my Call of Duty Bandwidth does not change, is this normal? Pic
Bert
Connection benchmark doesn't use any QoS or anti bufferbloat. Also it's not of much use as it's clearly not maxing out your connection from the test server.
Netduma Liam
You won't see your QoS settings affect the speeds reported in Connection Benchmark, the speed test is performed from the router and not from connected devices. Auto-enable enables your QoS settings when high priority traffic is detected. This is done through the rules configured in Traffic Prioritisation. We're working on the accuracy of the Connection Benchmark speedtest as we're aware it's not always reporting the correct speeds. Could you please try disabling QoS fully from the three-line menu in Congestion Control, then run a third party speed-test (i.e speedtest.net) and see what speeds this reports? I'd suggest doing this on a device connected to the R2 via wired.
