Netduma R2 Wi-Fi not working

My MacBook Pro has no internet when connected to the R2. Not sure what caused this. My PlayStation 5 is connected via LAN cable to the R2 and everything was working as intended. I did a hard reset via the button on the back of the router, had my MacBook forget the connection and tried everything from scratch. The router password on the bottom is incorrect so I once again used the method of adding one digit which gave me the correct password. It connected, but still no internet. I barely even used the Wi-Fi on the Netduma R2, just when I had to change some settings. All other devices are connected to the ISP router. I can't access the settings and the ones that were active for Black ops Cold War are now gone. The internet is working perfectly on my MacBook when connected to the ISP router. The R2 had internet access before the hard reset since it was working with my PS5, but it would always be stuck with those settings since I could't access the dumaos/ site, so I had to do a hard reset. Unfortunately, no luck so far.

Sorry to hear this!

Are you currently able to access the interface by going to 192.168.77.1 in your browser? If possible, I'd suggest trying this from an incognito window.

If so, is the R2 getting a WAN IP? You can check this by going to System Information, the WAN IP will be listed under Network Status.

This is exactly the problem. I can’t access 192.168.77.1 or dumaos/

When connected via Wi-Fi it always says that there is no internet connection.

I figured it out!

Not to long ago I was having trouble with internet load speeds. It turned out that the DNS wasn't good anymore, so I switched to a different one which works flawlessly, but I also put in a static IP address for my MacBook. Since the IP on the NetdumaR2 is 192.168.77.x it couldn't get internet connection on my MacBook. I switched back to a dynamic IP address and everything is working now.

Thank you for your help, you can mark the topic as solved.

Are you able to access the interface via 192.168.77.1 or https://dumaos/? If not, what are you seeing when you try to do this?

Set a static IP on the WiFi using these details and this guide: https://www.macinstruct.com/tutorials/how-to-set-a-static-ip-address-on-a-mac/

IPv4 Address 192.168.77.100
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Router 192.168.77.1

then try accessing the router interface please

You mentioned you were able to connect a device via ethernet to the router so you can set the static IP for the ethernet adapter and try to access

Martin, just a quick question. Are you sure that the provided Wi-Fi password on the Netduma actually works? Sometimes, the password below the router is wrong. The way to get the correct password is to seperate the number into five sections with three digits and add one to all sections except the fourth one. For example

012 345 678 910 111 - Say this is written on your router.

The real password could be - 013 346 679 910 112

A good way to test if the problem is with the router itself is to try and connect it to a different computer. Do you have any other computers that you could try and use?
