IMMORTAL_AD Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Hello, I am thinking of buying xr1000 but not sure yet. I have few questions to ask. I live in Dubai & most games servers are far away in US, EU & Eastern Asia so, will the router benefit me in reducing the ping if I am already far away from the servers ? If yes, How will it benefit me ? Please note that I am PS5, XBOX series x , PC & Nintendo Switch owner, mostly playing overwatch, FIFA & Rainbow six siege, will it be usefull dor these devices and games ? Best regards
Darren Munnich Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 It will help to lower your ping if you select the servers nearby. The distance to the servers will not change so it will never be less then the ping it is now. The only thing it will help is NOT selecting servers that a more far away so you get a higher ping. So yeah it will help.
Netduma Liam Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Great answer above! QoS will also help you ensure that your game traffic is being prioritised over other traffic on the network, helping to reduce lag and jitter!
