Monitoring packet loss

Hi,

Is there some way to monitor (preferably runtime) packet loss, and also other parameters like buffer bloat, latency spikes etc.?

PingPlotter is one way to watch what’s going on and there are various sites that offer tests but may not be 100% accurate. There are other software monitors available at a cost too.

Are you suffering issues?

Hi, thanks, I don't have a specific issue (that I know of yet), just wanted to know if I can do it at all. I'll give it a try and share if there is something suspicious, thanks.

Looked at PingPlotter, cool but not what I was aiming for. I want to see ping/packet loss information for my PS4 during games, to understand whether I have an issue that can cause slowness.

At the very least you would need a hub so that the PC and PS4 can be connected and the PC could see the traffic. From there, PingPlotter could still be a good shout, it will show packet loss if there is any
