XR1000 DHCP Option 61

Hi, can anybody advise if the XR1000 does or will support Option 61 for SKy ?

If not can this option be added 👍

The XR1000 does not currently support option 61 but it has been requested. Netgear did add option 61 to the XR500 so I would expect it will be added to the XR1000 at some point

So does mean Xr1000 would not work if you have sky broadband ?

Correct, XR500 supports option 61 as does the R2 (ish)  but XR1000 does not support Sky Option 61 - 62 currently.

Maybe consider switching ISP from SKy to say BT (or other) and then not a problem

Hi has this been added for the xr 1000 now as I'm thinking of changing isp from bt to sky and obviously if I did the xr1000 wudnt work through sky is tht correct?

No not yet unfortunately but they should implement it like the 500

Yes the latest version does support DHCP Options 60/61!
