Luke ‘Absolute’ Holmes
Hey, Since I set my Netduma up my warzone Nat type has changed from open to strict and my ColdWar has changed from open to moderate. Anyone know the solution for this?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 12, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 12, 2021 What is your exact physical setup? How have you setup the router with your ISP modem/router to get an open NAT?
Luke ‘Absolute’ Holmes
I'm with Virgin Media so I have a super hub 3. My R1 is connected into port 1 and nothing else is connected into the super hub 3 or R1. My Super hub is still in router mode, lost connection every time I tried to enter it into modem mode. I believe I could of done some port forward a couple of years ago with my super hub for Call of Duty but I can't quite remember.
Netduma Liam
If you log in to the R1s interface and go to your Network settings, you'll be able to see if you've configured any port forwarding previously. What are you playing on? Xbox, Playstation or PC? It's also interesting that you lose connection once you set you VM router to Modem mode, does this happen over both wired and wireless? Luke ‘Absolute’ Holmes
I can't access network settings via DumaOS something about a rapp error? Also it appears it works fine when connected directly just doesn't want to work by wifi in modem mode.
Administrators Featured Comment Netduma Fraser Posted January 13, 2021 Administrators Featured Comment Share Posted January 13, 2021 You need to put the WAN IP from the System Information page on the R1 into the DMZ feature on the VM Hub, that will allow you to get an Open NAT through the R1. Then reboot the router and you should be able to access the R1 settings but after you've done the DMZ you may not need to do anything. VM Modem mode is flaky in my opinion, that's why I don't use it on my connection.
