GeoFilter Warzone Servers

Hello,

Firstly I'm new to the forum, so hello everyone.

I've just installed the R2 router and have a few questions.

I did a ping search on COD Warzone around the world.

When I set the radius in one of those areas it didn't pick up the server.

I live in the UK and want to try out different servers on Warzone.

How do I pin point a server to use, and how does this show when the game is running.

When playing it's unclear which server I'm using, should this show up?

Many Thanks

Richard

Hello, welcome to the forum!

Apart from configuring the radius of the circle for a zone, you also have to configure which device is the one you want to filter, perhaps that is what you have not done and that is why it does not show you anything.
At the top left of the geofilter there is a button that says add device, click on it and select the device you want to filter. Once this is done, when you start the game, it will briefly show you the servers that are allowed within your circle radius and those that are outside it and are denied will show you as a triangle. Then when you enter a lobby it will show you the ping and the server data in a window that is in the lower right part of the geofilter called autoping, if that window is not shown, make sure you have autoping activated, this can be checked clicking on the three stripes that appear next to the name of the geofilter also located in the upper left part just above the add device button.

I hope this solves your problems, if you have more questions do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the response.

I do have the PS5 setup, I will try this when loading the game again.

So if I see a server on the pre load up that I want to use, do I simply move the geofilter in that area of the server and start the game? I sort of tried this last night but had no idea where the server was once in a game, it certainly wasn't in the Geo filtered area that I set out.

Thanks for your help.

What game are you trying to play? I advise you to do it this way; start the game with strict mode disabled and look at the geofilter when you do it, it will show you the location of the servers, then place the geofilter radius in the desired location and then close and open the game again but this time with the mode strict activated then you will see that the server located inside the circle will show it normal and the rest that is outside with a triangle (the triangles are servers that are blocked), doing this will only load the server inside the circle and it should only look for games on that server.

A greeting!

Thanks for the detailed information.

I'm playing COD Warzone.

When I tried this method yesterday, my friends couldn't connect to my party. Would this be related?

I will retry again today.

I’m also failing to connect to other locations despite following all the guidance on here. Currently testing South Africa and it just continues searching without connecting on loop. This clearly doesn’t work at all for Xbox One.

edit: I take that back...literally just connected to a game as soon as I said that after searching for 10-15 minutes!

You will need to add your friends to your allow list in order to connect to them when filtering, you can see how to do this at the bottom of this guide: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000077072-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-geo-filter

It's very hard to force games so far away as your ping will be high, they will favor those with a lower ping as I imagine yours is around 200?

Yeah it’s about 150-175ms so seems to be just inside the range allowed by COD Warzone...from previous testing it won’t connect to anything above 200ms.

I'm not sure how busy the server is but if there isn't many players there then it will take awhile to get a server, even if it is busy, if they have players way under that ping then it would prioritize them over you I should think.

Simply put, ensure the game/platform is off completely. Strict mode on, Ping Assist 0, radius/polygon covering the server area you want to force. Boot up the game and search, it should then place you in that server location.
