Is this an ISP problem

Recommended Posts

So I've noticed everytime my isps MTU changes from 1492 to 1412 I'm experiencing problems in my game.

This is my MTU test from my ISP can anyone tell me if this could be a problem

SG TCP/IP Analyzer

IP Address:  (**************)
Client OS: Android
Browser: Chrome 87.0.4280.66
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 8.1.0; Redmi 6A) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.66 Mobile Safari/537.36
Please Read the Analyzer FAQ if the above is not your IP address.

TCP options string = 0204055c0402080a007b0c430000000001030308
MTU = 1412
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput. If you are using a router, it could be limiting your MTU regardless of Registry settings.
MSS = 1372
MSS is not optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU value.

Definitely sounds like an ISP issue, shouldn't be changing like that. Would definitely contact them about it and see if you can get you're own modem to replace the ISP router if possible.

Don't think the MTU is supposed to change unless you change it yourself. Kinda weird. Not heard of that happening before.

My ISP probably changed it for what reason I don't know and the isp router most of the features are not accessible to me I can only change a few settings like WiFi password the MTU section of the router is locked
