captainchadl
I just got.a Netgear Nighthawk xr 500 and I was trying to connect the router to my vpn server, but it keeps failing. I know the config file I am trying to use is working because I can connect my computer with the config file. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 12, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 12, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! It does look like it is requiring a password to proceed - most likely that's how the feature was built - required a pass. Are you able to set a user/pass for the server and then see if it works? captainchadl
@Netduma Fraser I can set a password for the server. I will have to look into setting a username. I will try that and let you know how it works out.
captainchadl
@Netduma Fraser I was able to set a username and password and tested it on my computer. However I am now getting new log messages. captainchadl
@Netduma Fraser Thanks for your help. Hopefully in a future update a username and password will not be required and I can just drop in my config file without setting up a username and password.
