  1. Geofliter quit worrying on my xr500. I cannot load into games by myself in destiny 2 anymore. Anyone have any idea why this is quit working?
  2. I just got.a Netgear Nighthawk xr 500 and I was trying to connect the router to my vpn server, but it keeps failing. I know the config file I am trying to use is working because I can connect my computer with the config file.   3. HELP NEEDED! I just got new internet setup today from switching to a broadband provider that delivers much faster speeds with fiber optic cables. I have 1 full gig of speed to work with and recently bought the XR500 and have it all set up. My issue is that when I connect to the new network and set my xbox up to it, it was not giving my NAT Type when tested or connecting to multiplayer saying that "Can't get a Teredo IP address". So I just called the provider and found out they do not support or have IPV6 at all.... so what the heck do I do here? Please help it would be appreciated. I just made all these changes to my internet, invested in a Nighthawk Router and now my hopes are really low if I can not even connect to Live...
  4. Hey all, I’ve encountered quite a doozy of a problem recently. I had all my settings optimized as of late and was FINALLY enjoying a good gameplay experience on FIFA. However, over the weekend I started experiencing insufferable lag and unresponsiveness, worse than ever before. I checked my diagnostics from the Xbox dashboard and was shocked to find that my ping had doubled. Especially troubling was the fact that when wireless, my ping was cut in half, under 60ms. I therefore concluded that something must’ve happened to my Ethernet cord, ordered a new one, and plugged it in today. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that simple. I’ve now found that the newly wired latency is around 100ms and wireless at 60ms (using a brand new cat8 cable for wired). Can anyone please help??? It took months to get my connection dialed in and I’m at a complete loss as to what caused the change. Thank you in Advance 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
  5. Each time I make any changes to certain settings like QOS, bufferbloat, etc, I reboot the router (as I read this was recommended with any setting changes made). After doing so, I cannot connect to the internet via wifi (connecting to internet via ethernet cable on router works however). The only solution that I found that works is to factory reset the router, which then allows me to connect to the internet via wifi. Please help. Thanks in advance.
  6. Hey all, I'm getting some bad packet loss while gaming on wired and wireless connections. I bought PingPlotter, but I'm not great at reading the graph. I know the vertical red lines are areas of major packet loss, but I'm not sure if this is from the ISP or the router. Plot attached. I reset the router, updated the firmware, cycled the modem and tried a different Cat 6 cable from the Modem to the Router. None of that helped. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. I have a Netgear Nughthawk XR500 with the latest firmware (as of this morning). I need to limit the upload/download limit of a set-top box and other devices at certain times. For the same of example, let's say I have 10Mbps download limit and 1Mbps upload limit from my ISP (that is my line speed). Now for the set-top box, I want to limit it to 200K for upload. To test the settings, I have removed all other devices from my router and no other device will use any upload or download (nothing is connected). I have disabled "Share Excess Bandwidth" in both upload and download options of QoS. The upload limit is set to .2 (200Kbps) for the set-top box. When the upload resumes, the upload traffic from the set-top box creeps up to 0.5/0.6 Kbps (observed via network monitor tab). If I increase the limit to 1MBps, it takes it all and creeps all the way to 1MBps. I have tried changing the anti-bufferbloat options to never also. To test it further, I tried same experiment with my PS4 and XBOX and they show same behaviour. So my question is: Is there a soft-limit of 0.5KBps for upload and download on the router? Thanks, Immy
