shiddy
My KD in MW was 4 Months always 1,0...Sadly, SBMM was not my Friend... "Ok, lets buy some Netduma Router, everybody says so much positiv about this"... Jop, got the R2, put it after my AiO as an exposed-host and put the basic settings in the R2 on. Testet various Speedtests, Ping, Serverpings, tryed GeoFilter with Pingassist <25, Region to my Home and Region in Ocean, all was great... I put QoS till my Connection got me 3x A+ in Ratings and in PingUnderLoad aka Bufferbloat (DSLReporst) all 3 Lines are match perfect, straight line, damn what a connection i first thought... I manually add all Ports in my AiO till i reached OpenNAT Ingame. The R2 connected me to the lowest possible Servers, really cool but something wher different... And then it began... In Game CoD MW at my PS4, i swear, i ALWAYS get instamelted from Guys who have really really unreal "reflexes"... dont know if the connection is even 15ms Ping bad or ... I came from PC Gaming (CS1.6, CSGO - Competitiv, back in the days), so my Reflexes are not as bad and my Positioning/ ChrosshairPlacement are not perfect but over Average... So my KD after i set the R2 on, was falling down, slowly but constant. Lost 0.5 in 1 Month and then i decided to play without the Netduma, only with my crappy AiO which has no SQM, no GeoFilter/Pingassist and damn, wonder what: Mysterious SBMM put me in Botlobbys... First Few Rounds only, but damn i nearly got the damn Nuke for the first time.. now i am with my KD at the point before. KD 1,0... and no way up, till before i put the Netduma on... I dont get it... really... what i can try, what settings can i set, to make the netduma "worth it"??? I will give it another try.. Would be hard to sell it Edit: VDSL100/40 with Newest Firmware on R2, multiple FactoryReset, new CAT6a Cables RJ45, short DSL-Cable (TAE-RJ11) always restarted AiO, wait 3 Minutes and Rebooted the Netduma for Gaming
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2020 Hey, welcome to the forum! We can't really diagnose issues based on K/D or getting 'instamelted' in game. What ping are you getting as shown by the Geo-Filter and what do you get in game? When not using the R2 what does the ping show in game? Where are you based and what servers are you forcing? Could you provide a screenshot of your Connection Benchmark settings please? shiddy
Ok in R2 ping is 16ms and in game about 30ms Without R2 ping in game is also about 30ms My home is in germany, and i force only low ping servers, even when they are outside germany. There are 7 servers with ping below 25 around germany... Ok i will try that later and send the Screenshot. Edit: on the ping test under load, the two spikes in download are cuz we streamt something at our AiO modem and i did the test with wifi.. at my wired gaming pc i can guarantee that the 3 lines are nearly match perfect! With the R2, SBMM put me on even harder lobbys than without.. its like (my client) i am 100ms or more, behind... Saw a post in the CoD Forum here about a guy who recorded clips of that l, but for him i think it is a bit worser than for me, but same problems.. i dont understand it... I dont think that my ps4 is the problem, i have a Samsung SSD 860 QVO, only things installed are Firmware and CoD MW. I know that the SSD is not the fastestin read/write but i dont think that this is the problem. I am everytime the fastest and first on the servers... The PS4 Pro was cleaned inside, no dust or heatproblem..My TN panel monitor has low Inputlag...
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2020 Okay so your game ping is really good then. Connection Benchmark does a test direct from the router so wouldn't be affected by WiFi etc. Also as you do have spikes there it indicates that you may not yet have found the best percentage. What are your QoS settings currently?

SBMM plays mind games with you, it will either throw in a bot lobby or sweaty as fuck lobby. From experience after 5 to 6 games you having 2 to 5k/d or higher the game throws me into sweaty as fuck lobby, second scenario the game throws me into a bot lobby but my aim is off; random shit happens and I die. I have sat in a corner before waited for a bot player past and I shot at this guy point black with a shotgun 5 times, guess what? He turned round shot at me twice and I died, watching the kill cam from the shock he emptied a whole slip into me I saw my self just standing still in the kill cam. All I will suggest is switch to Moderate nat type, see if it makes a difference if the game throws you into a sweaty lobby or with bots and you still not having a good game. Restart your console or close the game app wait 1 or 2 then try again. Now a days I dont try hard anymore unless I'm called out in a lobby then I go ham. When I have 3 to 4 good games, I chill and go easy to avoid been capped by SBMM its crazy but sadly its the truth everyone on here has their experience of this mess. DanyKTM
exactly ! SBMM play with our nerves, ok, do this test. Play 3 games without kill someone or 1-2 no more. after that you will see, the game will find you a new lobby. you should get a bots lobby. you will destroyed them 2 or 3 games in a row and after that the game will find you a new lobby, and now you will play against good and try hard players. shiddy
QoS at 70 DL, 20 UL. Tryed 50/50, 20/20, everything.. Yes i know, but really strange that it was over months constantly and switched instantly without r2..
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2020 Did you test after each increment of 10%?
shiddy
Of course! What settings you think would be good? With 70/20 my lines are matched near perfect from wired pc (sry cant test it right now). Like i said, testes several settings but with connection benchmark, 70/20 are best for near straight lines
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 7, 2020 It's impossible for me to say as every connection is different and depends on the results you get. Those spikes though are definitely fixable, just move upload and retest from 95 down in 10% increments so testing percentages you haven't yet tried. Make sure you're using Always for Congestion Control when doing this.
shiddy
yep, tonight i will try it again with different CC settings. Will report back...
