rlovell11b
Hello, About every 3-4 months I have to completely reset my router because I just get horrible speeds. I was told some time ago that my XR500 is duplicating devices and there currently wasn't a fix. Is this still the case? It's starting to get a little old because I have to go around and re-connect every device in my house when I do this.
Newfie
That’s pretty 😢 It’s a known issue, to tidy it up you need to reset the router I’m afraid.

Anyways, Do you know if there is an anticipated fix or patch? Lol oh well that’s a first report for me haha, don’t worry. I would imagine DumaOS 3.0 may well fix this but if you wish under the COD forum you will see Caddy 2.0 which can delete offline devices but you could trying reinstalling .56 firmware over the top and resetting afterwards to see if that helps. Administrators Netduma Alex Posted June 11, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 11, 2020 I can confirm that we're adding a REMOVE OFFLINE DEVICES button in DumaOS 3.0! Don't get too excited.

Offline devices can't cause network congestion but if the router is holding on to all that old information then maybe that could be slowing it down. antigen
Do we have a timetable on this DumaOS 3.0? I posted a similar problem back in early May and I heard "soon". Do we have at least a targeted month?

Literally within the last day or so we've invited a first batch of testers to use 3.0 on the XR500. There will be more batches so if you haven't signed up yet make sure you do so: http://www.netgearinnovation.com/dumaos-beta/index.html
