Zippy Posted January 26, 2020 Share Posted January 26, 2020 You my friend have the exact same problem I have. DHCP keeps renewing and releasing. I think it effects my traffic prior. DHCP shouldn't be renewing or releasing like that. When my gaming falls apart that DHCP event is always in my logs at the time. Ive never run across this before. The renew release should be a 24 hr period. Not every 10-20 seconds. Ive tried a few things but haven't had much luck. The only thing that fixes it for awhile is a factory reset. But it always has come back for me. I might try to put my XR500 in AP mode and have another router handle the DHCP. Im going to ask Fraser if putting the XR500 in AP mode disables the DHCP.. For some strange reason when I manually disable the DHCP it doesn't disable it.. Zippy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Try a reset first but if it continues disable IPv6 please and then if it is persists set static/reserved IPs for devices in LAN Settings and it shouldn't in theory continue to happen.
