i have an xbox one conected to my RX 500 and when i do the "test network speed & statistics" i get around 180 ping. if i conect the console to my isp modem, i get 60 :S

i have open NAT, upnp active, QOS active, i tryed 100 things, but i cant lower my ping...anyone have a clue?

Is Geo-Filter active? If it is, set it to Spectating Mode before you test.

As a way to eliminate potential causes, could you go to the QoS menu, open the anti-bufferbloat side menu and tick Disable QoS?

Now do the test again and see if there's an improvement. If there's no improvement we'll have to look somewhere else. If QoS is the cause, we'll have to adjust the traffic prio.

Hello alex

I can tell you i have tryed with qos with the same result.

Geo is active, cant remember if on spectating or not, but il check it asap.

Okay same result with QoS turned off, that's interesting.

Forgot to ask, are you connecting through ethernet or wifi?

You're referring to the ping in the console network settings right? If so thats just the ping to the PSN authentication server, this has no impact on your game ping. I bet if you take a look at your game ping through the Geo-Filter it's much lower than that and thats the ping you need to focus on.

It's just the ping to the PSN server nothing to do with the game at all so that's fine. Have a look on the Geo-Filter Map when you next play, either with Auto Ping or if you ping manually you should see that the ping to the game server is much lower!

Still its wierd to Ping 3x less in the isp modem usnt it?

Most likely what is happening is that the Geo-Filter is blocking the usual authentication server and so is using a different one. I suspect if you removed the device from the Geo-Filter that the ping would decrease.

That's great thanks for the update. Now you can add it back and not worry if that ping shows higher than usual, as long as your game ping is good you're golden!

edit: dunno if its a coincidence, but when i fifa QoS doenst detect high priority traffic

Generally you won't see any servers until you actually start searching for a game, does it show a server when you're in a game? Also zoom out of the map as Ping Assist may have caught one outside your radius. How do you have Traffic Prioritization set up?

Delete the console from the Geo-Filter & hard turn off the console. Flush the cloud in the Geo-Filter Map options and then re-add the device to the Geo-Filter, turn on the console and game and see if it works then. If not could you provide a screenshot of the entire Geo-Filter page with the Map zoomed out please when you're actually in a game playing? Doesn't matter if there isn't anything appearing.
