Administrators Netduma Alex Posted November 5, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 5, 2019 So you put the XR500 into the DMZ of the Home Hub, and then you set that IP as a static IP in the XR500 Settings? Did you reserve the IP on the Home Hub also?
DanyKTM
Je ne crois pas pouvoir reserver une IP sur le HH3K, ( I don't believe I can reserve IP on HH3K Yes actually I setup the static IP adress in the XR500, I keep the MAC Adress in my file as well. Thank you Alex
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted November 6, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 6, 2019 Ok, sometimes if the modem is not expecting you to connect with a static IP, that IP will not be available to use. Maybe it was not working before because it thought your XR500 was a new device after the reset? This is why I usually prefer to use reserved IP's on the device that has the DHCP pool. It's less likely to go wrong.
