puddy
Not a big deal, but my NETDUMA has just recently started randomly identifying devices that are connected wirelessly as being hardwired to my router. Any idea as to why?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 14, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 14, 2015 Are they connected via there Netduma wireless or through a wireless access point connected to the Netduma?
PharmDawgg
I am having the same thing and they are wireless devices connected to the access point and the access point is connected by wire to the R1.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2015 If It can't work out how its connected it defaults to saying its wired, which kind of makes sense in the AP scenario. It doesn't make any difference though, just visual
Akic
I remember Iain mentioning it's actually quite hard to determine if it's wired or wireless, sounds counter intuitive but if the main man said it I'll go with it.
puddy
Thanks for the assistance. It seems to have sorted out. I received a new modem from my internet provider yesterday that included a built-in wireless router which I had disabled, but was still getting the inconsistent Device Manager readings. I left this forum post last night and went to bed. This morning all devices are reporting correct connections. Thanks again for your help.
