Newfie
Smart connect, I’ve a feeling this is more to do with Netgear but does DumaOS work along side this or is this separate ?
Administrators Netduma Alex Posted September 11, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 11, 2019 DumaOS works fine with Smart Connect. It's a NETGEAR feature but essentially your device will be listed in Device Manager under whichever band it supports.
Newfie
That’s great thanks. I’ve been testing it out but I noticed if a device say my echo is disconnected from the 2.4 it fails to connect to the 5ghz channel automatically . I take it it’s device compatibility maybe? I’m testing it with an esp8266 module.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 11, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 11, 2019 Yes that sounds about right, the device should connect to 2.4 or 5GHz depending on its needs so if it doesn't connect to 5GHz it either isn't compatible with smart connect or it's unable to connect to 5GHz in general. Newfie
That’s great thanks. Device manager works fine, I watch it go off line and pop on. Works great.
