Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 Hey, welcome to the forum! I know a few of our users here have or have used Plusnet so they may be able to help. Are you certain you're using the correct PPPoE details? Have you rebooted both routers once you've done this? Mogode
used the exact details i use to login into there website, and restarted both routers, do i need to add mtu, mac address and dns override ? i also have a static ip, maybe this is the problem ? my phone is picking up the r1's wireless
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 No I shouldn't think so. Where do you have the static IP set?
Mogode
ive never had to set it, its a plusnet addon, they handle it All DumaOS devices are routers. They must be connected to a modem in order to function. Most ISPs will give you a modem which you can plug straight into your DumaOS router. Some ISPs will give you a combined router and modem. For these, you must either put the ISP router into Bridge Mode, or put the DumaOS router into the DMZ of the ISP router. Devices should all be connected to the DumaOS router, with the DumaOS router being the only device connected straight to the ISP router. Please ask on our forums if you need further assistance setting up your DumaOS router: forum.netduma.com there is no option for me to add my netduma r1 router IP to DMZ, i can only activate it or deactivate it, neither option helps. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 Ahh I see, that shouldn't be a problem. Can you screenshot the DMZ page please? Do you have a modem as well/box attached to the wall or is it just the Plusnet router and R1?
Mogode
just the plusnet one router and the netduma r1, which is both the modem and router, it has no bridge option, im using a standard Ethernet cable to join them to each other. clearly from pic 2, plusnet router is not detecting the netduma r1. The phone line that connects to the router is a box, it has a straight phone end to phone end option, it also has a filter socket also, i think the guy who fit the box said i would no longer need the filter with it, ill try adding through filter now
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 You should be able to pick it from that list, it may appear as a MAC address. Ahhh I see, makes sense now. Remove PPPoE from the R1, you don't need it as plusnet is in router mode.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 That might be your ethernet cable, do you get internet if connecting to it wirelessly? Does the router get a WAN IP in System Information?
Mogode
wireless picks up netaduma r1 on my iphone, allows me to connect to it, shows full bars but am unable to use the internet on it. could not use the wireless with plusnet routers wireless on or off.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 Just to be clear, you don't have internet on the plusnet router either? Reset the plusnet and re-enter any details such as PPPoE you need for a connection on that, confirm you have internet and then reboot the R1. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 7, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 7, 2019 Can you try this for PPPoE on the R1 please: username is the same one you use to access the member center, followed by @plusdsl.net For example: [email protected] Password same as the one you use to login to member center. Mogode
i have already done that, before firmware update, after firmware update and after factory reset.
progprogprog
Ok one last thing to check Make sure  you are not plugged into the (redwan port) on hub one by mistake? Ethernet cable should come from (yellow Lan port )on hub one. Into wan port on r1
Mogode
i was plugged into the redwan port, plugged into yellow lan port, still nothing, with or without pppoe settings. Would buying a modem with bridge capability be a fix ?
progprogprog
There really is no reason why that wouldn't work Do another factory reset on the r1 now Make sure to have ethernet from yellow port 1-4 plugged into r1 wan while you do a reset Let me know as soon as you have done this
progprogprog
tp link td-w9970 Is a great modem/router which 100% works in modem only mode If you are going down that route I would look at one of these first Also has a Broadcom chipset which are solid
