acanadian Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 I've disabled DHCP on the router so it can be provided by a different server on the network. However, I would like to use the guest network functionality. My question is, what is the guest network scheme so that I can configure my DHCP server to provide addresses for it. My router is the XR500
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted March 16, 2019 Administrators Posted March 16, 2019 What do you mean by ‘scheme’ exactly? Guest network is a Netgear feature so you may have a better luck asking over on their forums, but we’ll do our best to help you here!
acanadian Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 By 'scheme' I mean, what is the ip address range the router uses when giving out addresses to clients of the guest network.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 26, 2019 Administrators Posted March 26, 2019 It would use the same range as the regular devices that are connected I believe so you shouldn't have to do anything different for guest devices, they can use the same range.
