Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 3, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 3, 2015 I think it's because of the line that says 'ca ca.ipvanish.com.crt'. Try deleting that line and see if it works then

PharmDawgg
I deleted the line from the config file but it does not save it.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 3, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 3, 2015 I deleted the line from the config file but it does not save it. Disable the VPN, change the line then enable the VPN and see if it saves
PharmDawgg
It did not save. I really do not want to factory restore. I am on an Imac and it is hardwired to the router. Everything else is working perfectly.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 3, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 3, 2015 Did you disable the VPN first by unticking the box and clicking apply?
PharmDawgg
Yes sir. It's almost like only in the VPN section it is not responding to my inputs. But everywhere else on the router it is. And I even tried a different web browser. Mozilla.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted July 3, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 3, 2015 Could you try just restarting the router?
PharmDawgg
Actually I did a few times. I was actually thinking about just waiting until they put out the new update and maybe when I install the update it will fix this. Because I am not currently really using the VPN that much and everything else is working perfectly. And I really do not want to restore to factory settings because I have so many devices that it would kind of be a pain to reenter all of them. LOL. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 3, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 3, 2015 Is there anything you really need it for? Unticking all the devices then changing it and then reticking the devices should work
PharmDawgg
No not really. I don't have any devices ticked. I have actually cancelled my subscription. It stops at the end of the month.

PharmDawgg
I went ahead and did a factory reset from the GUI and it fixed the VPN issue. Something must have gotten glitched or something. Because I forgot to mention and I did not realize it at the time but when I rebooted the router it I did not hear the beep. So I unplugged the router and waited a few minutes. After that the beep came back as well. So now everything is OK.
W11cE
I got those beepless reboots also when i was tinkering with vpn settings. Related to vpn? i dont know, maybe coincidence. What i noticed was that i couldnt get the connection working with R1 set to DMZ on modem. Had to disable routing on modem completely to get it working. Administrators Netduma Iain Posted July 4, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 4, 2015 Hi guys Fraser is away at an event, so I'm jumping to this thread late. Is everything resolved? If not I'll be available tomorrow to assist with any VPN stuff you need
PharmDawgg
Iain everything is fine. I had to factory reset to fix. I kept getting the unable to communicate with the router.
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted July 4, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 4, 2015 ok wicked mate I'll believe there is a ticket about the VPN being coupled with the cloud. I'll be looking into that in future updates.
