Zennon
As the increased ping does not follow through to the later hops this is a hop that sometimes does not respond to ICMP Pings. Nothing to worry about, it will not affect gaming.

Connection is hardwired but also getting SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync;CM-MAC errors in modem log 3-4 times a day also why would that hop run a higher average ping only being 7 miles away but the 4th hop is 40 miles away and sits At a steady 10ms
Zennon
Sync;CM-MAC errors : your modem signals may be out of spec causing line drops. Check that your Downstream Power Level, Upstream Power Level & SNR are within spec, check your ISP for info. I answered your second question in my prior post. Asjb123
They had a special tech sent to my house and that is what he left it at 5-6dB... aren’t ofdm power levels supposed to be under 3db ??? Also they are using a filter on the back of the modem to obtain these power levels. .
Zennon
I am from the UK so we do not have the same set up but from what I am reading on this Web Site under 7db is OK. There is a lot of info on here for you to check against your stats.
