GazCBG Posted February 1, 2019 Share Posted February 1, 2019 Hi, Router: XR500 When Fortnite was supported on the Geo-Filter, I used it a few times. I went to use it the other night and couldn't connect when in a duo. I had it set on Ping Assist only at 30ms, 40ms, 50ms upto 60ms, my ping is around 20ms. I had also white listed the other person, they got in but not me. The server was in the UK at around 29-31ms according to NetDuma. GazCBG Posted February 6, 2019 Author Share Posted February 6, 2019 Hi, Just ran 2 tests with the person I have whitelisted in the allow on the Geo Filter (both in the UK and same ISP). When the Ping Assist is on I do not get it, it was on 40ms. Set it to 60ms if you want to use it. You say it works when you include the UK in your distance radius though? Isn't that the better setup anyway for you? Also the ping assist doesn't seem to work at 60ms either as I tried that before without radius as set in image 1. I will leave it on a radius, I was hoping to set the Ping Assist and leave it. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6, 2019 Administrators Share Posted February 6, 2019 I think sometimes the Ping Assist doesn't trigger properly. Were you on the game originally when you enabled it? If so that might be why. Would advise hard turning off the console, deleting device from Geo-Filter, wait two minutes then turn on ping assist (if on toggle it off then on), add device back to Geo-Filter then wait 2 minutes and boot up the console.
