ggkthx Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Is Anti-Bufferbloat required if I have gigabit internet? Also, can I just disable QOS but leave Traffic Prioritisation enabled? So: Anti-Bufferbloat: Never QOS: Disabled Traffic Prioritisation: Enabled (DumaOS Classified Games) I mainly play CS:GO, so I just wanna make sure my game packets aren't getting queued and receive the most attention when gaming. I was reading https://netduma.com/blog/beginners-guide-to-bufferbloat/ and apparently anti-bufferbloat prioritises VoIP apps. Do I still need it if I use FaceTime audio a lot and how does DumaOS detect FaceTime traffic? Do I need to specify it?

You shouldn't disable QoS if you want this setup - doing that will disable Traffic Prio as well. Instead, reset Bandwidth Allocation and click 'apply'. Set Anti-Bufferbloat to 100/100 and 'Never', then all you'll be using is Traffic Prioritisation

How about prioritising my VoIP apps like FaceTime or WhatsApp calls? Does DumaOS detect it automatically or do I need to manually create permissions/rules?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 29, 2019 Administrators Posted January 29, 2019 You would need to manually create those rules by using the ports that those services use
