NetZilla
Is it not possible to change the router IP Address in DumaOS? I know with the legacy R1 you had to keep it as 192.168.88.1 but thought I read somewhere that you could change it. When I try changing it, it says RPC error 'ERROR_VALIDATION': Network is not private. Thanks for any help
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2019 Yes you should be able to. What is the IP you're trying to change it to?
NetZilla
Im trying to change it to 10.10.10.1 but tried different ones and got the same error.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2019 That's odd, does it work if you do 10.0.0.1? Is your subnet still 255.255.255.0?
NetZilla
Yeah the 10.0.0.1 works. Not sure what conflict 10.10.10.1 would have. Also tried 25.25.25.1 as well and that had the same error.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2019 Whats your physical setup and what's the LAN IP of your ISP hub?
NetZilla
I just got my new router today but at the moment I have the r1 running both my wired and wireless connections and my ISP is an Arris cable modem. Nothing else. Not sure what you mean by LAN IP of my ISP hub. You mean the default gateway of the ethernet adapter? That's just been changed to the 10.0.0.1. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2019 I meant whats the LAN IP of the modem basically. I wouldn't change your ethernet adapter in case you factory reset the router, you wouldn't be able to reconnect
NetZilla
Oh sorry about that. It's 192.168.100.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 17, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 17, 2019 Okay so no conflict there and your public IP won't be in the range you set either. I'll pass this on to the dev team as there may be a bug here.
