Auto ping not working

As title auto ping doesn't work 90% of the time just says not connected to host or server

What game are you playing? It could be that you are playing on P2P and that you are the host either that or the host has their router set to not respond to pings.

Black ops 4 and yeah you could well be right seems all I get is peer servers in 2 days play I think I have had maybe 6 games on dedicated servers

I saw something on Reddit earlier saying that Treyarch were planning to fine tune network performance now that launch is over so hopefully we'll see more servers popping up soon. Another couple of ways to tell if your host on P2P is: enable the connection meter on BO4 then when in a game go to Network, if you don't see the ping and packet loss graphs then you are the host or, look at the long number at the top of the network page, if the number has an E on the end its a dedicated server if not its P2P (you can also see this number on the lobby screen).

It should still show regardless if P2P, if there is a host icon that is bigger than the others then it should ping. Do you see anything on the map when it doesn't ping?
