Router Freezes on Reboot with cable plugged into WAN (PoE) Port

Hello,

The router freezes on reboot if I leave the cable plugged into the PoE (WAN) port. The router will only work again if I unplug the cable from the PoE port and then power cycle it by pulling the power cable.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Running latest firmware.

Thanks

Hi ServerError - welcome to the forums :)

Why doesn't the router work? Does it just not boot up, can you not access the internet or can you now access the router dashboard?

Simple litle thing i found on wiki but wort to tried outThe R1 keeps restarting itself

This is most likely an overheating issue. Make sure its not on a surface that will make it overheat. Also if possible get surge protection.

Hey Server, welcome to the forum. What do you mean by freezing exactly? Does it just fail to boot so theres no lights or a beep? Overheating could be a concern as lukasz said.
