taylor
Currently having difficulties with the R1, its not coming up on any devices to access its wifi. Iv tried connecting via ethernet cable to laptop and says theres no IP doing the ifconfig test on cmd. iv tried release and renew but won't let me saying media disconnected. Usual setup is with hh6 and its usually sat in the DMZ. ISP>HH6>R1. on the HH6 when connected to R1 it showing as connected however the IP its assigned to doesn't work also. Iv tried to reset from the rear of the R1 but this has no effect, Iv held it in for up to a minute and nothing happens. If i pull the power cable from it and reinsert power comes on all lights flash but nothing - its like its completely unresponsive... any suggestions ? e38BimmerFN
If you reset the R1, you should get access at 192.168.88.1...

e38BimmerFN
Unit needs to be RMAd. There was a problem with the button in back failing. Contact Duma support and ask for an RMA.
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted August 27, 2018 Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2018 Could you wire into the R1 using an Ethernet cable. Then open command in your computer and type in ipconfig What is your LAN IP address?

Ok. From the look of your report you were not wired into the Netduma when you tested it as the only results were on your wireless LAN adapter. Could you follow these steps please: 1. Disconnect the R1 from your HH6, so it is not connected to anything other than the power supply 2. Take a new ethernet cable and connect it into port 2 of the Netduma and then wire it into your PC 3. Turn off the WiFi on your PC 4. Run the command ipconfig again If you can see 192.168.88.1 as the default gateway, then type this in your address bar and you should be able to access the UI again. If you cannot see this, could you confirm if the yellow light is flashing on port 2 on your Netduma R1?
taylor
Okay, R1 isolated, powered and connected to laptop via port 2 on r1. WiFi disabled on laptop. Ipconfig shows all values... Media state : media disconnected connection-specific DNS suffix Tried with 2 other Ethernet cables and all the same result. Also no light flashing on port 2 of the r1 however port 1 light is on but there’s nothing connected to the r1 other than port 2- laptop. I noticed port 2 light was on this morning but nothing was plugged in to it. Only the power cable. Iv tried taking the power cable out and powered back up all lights show but no light is coming on when plugging in Ethernet cable in to any ports. ??? taylor
Netduma Jack, not sure where your last thread has gone, But, I tested as you asked.. When you power on the r1- the power light and act light come on with a beep, no port or WiFi lights flashed. The act light then goes out. When I walked past it this morning a good 18hrs later- it’s still powered on and port 2 and 3 lights were on... but nothing is plugged in. Anything else I need to try ? We don’t seem to be getting any where fast here
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted August 30, 2018 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 30, 2018 Hi Taylor - I reckon my last post got deleted when we migrated the forum. There's a few issues like this that have happened across the forum, but it's a one-off thing while we update everything :) I know it's frustrating but it's because everything needs to be ruled out. I truly believe this is a hardware malfunction based on what you have told me. Could you please email [email protected] with a link to this thread, as well as your router order details? You could be covered by your warranty and be eligible for a replacement router. If you aren't we can continue trying to resolve this issue through other means. Thanks! taylor
Jack, I really appreciate the fanatastic support. I’m fully aware that everything needs to be ruled out before any decisions are made. What router details do you require just all the info on the back told the r1? Anything else? The details on the back of the router don't matter so much - if you have a copy of your receipt of purchase or your order number anywhere please email us that and we'll check your warranty. If not just let us know your full name and email address you used to order the router. Thanks!
