thewilloxdiaz
ISP: Docsis 3.0, 50 Down 1.5 Up Hybrid Fiber/Cable. Currently im using an Arris TG862 modem/router combo unit as primary router to the R1. I just need help with a decent config for this modem. When i go to Device Manager theres a "nameless device" that i cannot delete even whe i reboot the R1. I asume this is the Moodem/Router. I wish i could delete that device since may be taking some of the bandwith. It even appears on the Device Prioritisation. Any help would be apreciatted. The R1 config is on the attached screens. BIG__DOG
that really should not be the modem. Go to device manager then click block/delete next to that device, reboot R1 then go back to device manager and it will allow you to click block/delete and then the device will be gone. Administrators Netduma Admin Posted May 26, 2018 Administrators Share Posted May 26, 2018 Big_Dog is right, that is unlikely to be the modem as the router is programmed to not add that to the Device List. Try Big_Dog's suggestion. Clicking block may also help you to figure out which device it is! Finally, just for future, you can allocate more bandwidth to the other devices and away from this one by dragging the circles on Device Prioritisation. And for what it's worth, bandwidth is only given to a device when it needs it. So if this device is not using the bandwidth it won't be taking any bandwidth from your other devices.
