I have the benQ xl2430t. would a upgrade help out my gaming experience? i feel like this monitor is ment for pc gaming only though

if you have a low input lag rate and low refresh rate then that monitor will do the job for gaming. I have the benq XL2720 and mine performs well.

 

I have also just googled your monitor and it is a good one!

With the BenQ xl2430t make sure you have instant mode on with blur reduction off which gives you an input lag average of 10ms

 

Instant mode off 27ms

 

Blur reduction and instant mode on 16ms

 

Instant mode alone 10ms

If his monitor has "fps mode" which mine does then those options you suggest are already enabled!
