As I am a long time stalker of this forum. I can't help but notice that it is the same topics that arise with the XR500 thingy, that used/ still happen with the R1 thingy.

 

"My speeds are halved"

"Wi fi drops of"

"I'm still lagging" and on and on.

 

So I can just imagine the hullabaloo if the DumoOS had dropped and those problems arose again!

"You have had 2years to sort this"

"Why has this happened "

"It should never have been released if it wasn't read" etc etc you get the point!

 

Any that's my pondering done for today stay tuned for more drivel and talking shite (sorry for the bad language)

The thing is if you lag before you purchase the R1 or XR500 it is more likely to be a line/isp issue, this the xr or r1 cannot solve this or any other router for that matter. A lot of people dont realise this and they are usually the ones that game over wifi, use a wireless controller and game on tv’s instead of a gaming monito! Atleast buy a low input lag tv, game over ethernet, use a wired controller and give yourself a fighting chance ffs!.....My rant over too matey

Also regardless of the router these issues would still come up - it's only the people having issues you hear from, not the thousands that say nothing because it's working as expected. So it's easy to draw a false conclusion that the router is 'plagued with the same issues'. In almost all circumstances it's user error or what Big Dog said and if it is a bug then great we can fix it!
