fakkel
I wanted to disable Automatic DNS but instead (I was sleepy) I disabled DHCP, after that some of my devices couldn't connect to the internet anymore. I re-enabled the DHCP and now everything works again and here comes my question: What are the standard DHCP settings because I didn't check before I miss clicked. I currently have it on 192,168.88.2 and 192.168.88.100 Lease time 1 day. Greets, Mark van den Berg

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 4, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 4, 2018 Just so you're aware if you disable DHCP then the router cannot hand out IP address to the devices that are trying to connect to it. If you give devices static IP addresses then they would stay connected but I wouldn't recommend this as you could connect different devices and they wouldn't be able to connect so just have DHCP enabled is best.
