nytemare01
Hello. I'm getting inconsistent readings on the ps4 when I do a speed test. I can get an 86dl 8ul and the next 5 readings are all <10dl and <2ul. The only time I recall this happening is when using the R1 and purposefully throttling my bandwidth. I've disabled all anti-flood, reset distribution, and disabled all qos, but still get those inconsistent readings. Am I doing something wrong? Also tried unticking share excess for both the ul and dl and was still getting the same results...Perhaps it is the sony network but not sure
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted January 22, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2018 Hi nytemare, What bandwidth number have you set you anti-bufferbloat to? Could you please post a screenshot of your entire QOS and I'll have a look to see if anything is incorrect. Thanks

nytemare01
I figured out what was going on. Thanks to the network monitor I noticed that someone's Xbox was continuously downloading and using a lot of bandwidth, which was making my PS4 speedtest results in consistent. I blocked the device for a moment and started getting consistent results. Thanks for your assistance.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 23, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 23, 2018 Well done on figuring it out and thanks for letting us know. Fantastic to hear the Network Monitor helped you figure out the issue! I had the same kind of thing seeing my PC downloading a Microsoft update. Following the suggestions in this topic regarding QoS are you able to achieve higher than that when connected via ethernet? Do you have other devices downloading at the time or console in Traffic Prioritization?
