Make sure you reserve your Duma's IP and place it in your main routers DMZ as Buck says above. Also make sure you have UPNP enabled in the Duma.
Santi1nadal Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 On my router there are two options for DMZ. There is WAN IP which I can't change but on Private IP I can so I changed that with the WAN IP I got on the Netduma and it stills says on my Xbox One that my Nat Type is still on strict. Also my UPNP is enabled and is still says Strict.
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted June 7, 2015 Administrators Posted June 7, 2015 Hey Santi1nadal, also make sure your Geo-Filter is disabled when you run the test. Does that fix it?
cranium2001 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Are you running just the netduma. A lot of times a system hard boot will fix the problem as well. Not just a power down.
Santi1nadal Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 I have a airport extreme and I realize that when I use it my Nat Type is on Strict but when I don't use it, it gets on Open. Yes I have tried not using the Geo Filter. Is there any way of using the Airport Extreme while keeping my Nat Type Open.
PharmDawgg Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I believe you are getting a strict NAT because you have two routers basically back to back (Double NAT). So what we want to do is let the Netduma do the routing and turn your Airport Extreme into an access point (it will retain all it capabilities except being a router). This link should help with setting up the Airport extreme in bridge mode: https://gigaom.com/2010/03/03/how-to-setup-an-airport-extreme-in-bridge-mode/ This will be the setup for you : Modem < Netduma < Airport Extreme(In bridge mode)<All devices
Santi1nadal Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 http://www.maclife.com/article/features/5_ways_get_most_out_your_airport_extreme Is the one in the picture. Is a pretty old Airport Extreme
cranium2001 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Not sure how the settings work on the airport, but in netgears setup you go to advanced, wan, mac address and enter the a dress given by the netduma dash. Dmz.
Santi1nadal Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 It doesn't let me change the WAN IP but it lets me change the Private IP. I put on the Private IP the WAN IP which showed on my Netduma Router.
cranium2001 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I already done the DMZJust make sure the mac address didn't change. Anytime I reboot my netgear it switches.
Santi1nadal Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 How do I get my WAN Mac Address? For me is disabled

I am new to this
cranium2001 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 How do I get my WAN Mac Address? For me is disabledNot sure on the airport. YouTube it and I'm sure there's a video on it.
gianni2k Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I have no idea about airport but for me just putting the netduma in the DMZ didn't work. I had to play around with the order of the restarts on all devices till I found one that worked. Try restarting your main router and all the devices after you put it into the dmz. Hope it helps!
PharmDawgg Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Open Airport Utility Select the Airport Click 'Edit' Click 'Advanced' Click 'DHCP and NAT' Click Default Host, and enter the IP address you want. IP address of the Netduma Hopefully this works.
