Go to device manager and click EDIT.......you will see a device matching your ps4 saying UNNAMED DEVICE! Click and rename that to ps4 or whatever you wish to identify your console.........then go to geo filtering and in 1 of the tabs at the top of the page select you newly named device from the drop down menu and select the ps4 under the device you renamed it as! Administrators Netduma Iain Posted January 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hi Kage, thanks for purchasing the XR500. As Raddy mentioned it automatically adds playstation traffic out the box. If you have DumaOS classified games enabled it will work. You can verify this by looking at high priority feedback panel, when you're playing on the PS4 you'll see the high priority traffic rising. When you select console and see you xbox that is a minor bug because xbox and playstation classification work the same under the hood. Hope that clears everything up If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 16, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 16, 2018 Hi Kage, Just to make sure you need to be on the latest version to make use of the DumaOS Classified Games option that will prioritise consoles & the most popular PC games by default when enabled. Here’s a link to do so: https://kb.netgear.com/000053269/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-1-0-4it also contains many usability improvements to make QoS & Geo-Filter much easier to use. My mistake and hope you have it sorted now!
