velloonythedeity
I recently just upgrade speeds to 300 download and 20 upload with charter. so I need a modem that will handle those speeds. high quality only, because this default modem they sent me is not cutting out. I crossed off the modems I have personally tested or have the Intel Puma 6 chip and lag... Leaves only one option with only decent reviews. Regarding what I just said above, why increase your speed? It makes no difference for gaming. In most cases a increase actually made ping worse lol

fuzzy clam
loony,I also have spectrum and also use the TP link TC 7610 and it definitely helps with the stability of the instability from cable. The TP 7610 is one of spectrums most recommended modems for people wishing to purchase their own but as MoD said don't know if they will provision it but I'd call and ask them about it as it's a great little modem. They will only do it for 100 Mbps, which doesn't make any sense, but that's still fine for gaming. The difference the modem makes is worth it. The difference the modem makes is worth it. I don't understand why they do it like that.I get 100 / 6 now and I don't see a difference in gaming performance compared to the 60 / 6 speeds I use to get. So IMO if you get a faster connection (more bandwidth) it doesn't mean anything for gaming if it's still the same unstable, oversaturated line as before.
