Can't connect to my Netduma after 2 years

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I moved to a new house and changed my ISP. I plugged my Netduma correctly but looks like the Netduma can't access to my ISP hub.

I looked your guide and tried everything. Please notice, I reseted the Netduma from behind to clear all settings (I used it 2 years ago).

I checked ipconfig when my ethernet PC is plug in the Netduma, take a look :

   Passerelle par défaut. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

On my ISP, I checked DHCP. Please take a look to my ISP settings (attached files) and tell me if I'm wrong. I'm listening to your advice.

Thank you !

Hello Fraser,

I unplugged the netduma. I plugged my ethernet PC on the Netduma and I tried 192.168.88.1 but I can't access to the interface.

I guess I missed something. :(

EDIT: I'm looking this guide http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=unbrick_router

But the thing is, I can't access to 192.168.1.1

EDIT : (do not look at the attached file)

Ok guys, I found the problem. I failed to reset my netduma. I tried many times, olding the button from behind for like 15 secs... 30 secs... and nothing!

I succeeded to log in via the Wifi with my old wifi pass for the netduma. But, I can't reach the interface. I don't remember the ip. Let me show you the ipconfig, maybe you can help me with this.

I tried 1.1, doesn't work at all. Ok I will unplug and I will wait but let me ask you something.

I can't reset my Netduma, is it normal? I pushed the button "RES" and the netduma isn't rebooting at all. I feel like the reset button is disabled, idk.

Sorry to up this topic but I don't know what to do now, I'm really afraid of testing anything without your advices, support team.  :(

Issues whereby you can't access the interface can often be fixed by doing a power cycle, i.e unplugging the modem and the Netduma, waiting a while, plugging in the modem, waiting a few minutes and then plugging in the Netduma. This can solve IP address issues - just recently this allowed me to access the interface on my own Netduma. It'll be temperamental but it can work.

It sounds like your reset button is non-responsive, which will unfortunately be a hardware related issue. There is however a factory reset button in the miscellaneous settings on the Netduma if it's possible through rebooting and isolating the Netduma to access the interface.

Unfortunately you're outside your warranty, so we cannot replace your router. You can read our terms here: https://netduma.com/terms/

Thanks for your reply Jack.

I never reseted my netduma before but yeah sounds like the button is broken. No problem, I know it can't be replace. I still hope to save my duma!

I tried to unplug and wait but nope. Let's try something with the wifi, the last chance...

So, looks like I can connect to my Netduma with my old wifi pass (because I can't reset it) but I get this yellow icon, I have no internet connection and I can't access to the netduma interface. What do you think about it ? Why my PC says I'm connected ?

I'm sure 100% I changed the default IP to access the netduma interface when I used it long time ago. My questions is, how can I find this ip address ?

Interesting, this is the exact same issue that I am having. The NetDuma Mikrotik Router seems to be in some sort of passthrough mode, where it is not functioning as a router at all. I have been trying to solve this problem myself as I have only had the NetDuma for about a year.. and for $200 it does not seem like it should already be failing hardware wise. I am however definitely continuing to look into a solution on my end to allow router functionality again. Just as mentioned by the OP no matter how long you hold the res button it does not do anything. Now the difference for me from the OP is that I don't have wireless access to the router on my end.
