XB1 Network Settings Blocking Party Chat

Recommended Posts

Check you're not blocking a chat server with your Geo Filter, if you are then you need to give it a 100% rating so that it doesn't get blocked.

Mine says the same thing sometimes and other times it says 'privacy settings', if I turn off my Astro MixAmp and turn it back on it resolves the problem every time. In my case, it's neither network settings or privacy settings, it's just Xbox being stupid.

Interesting.  I have an A40TR Mixamp... I'll try that next time.  I'm still learning the nuances of this router.  How do I know if I'm blocking a chat server?  How do I give it a 100% rating?

In settings miscellaneous do you have auto & bleeding edge cloud enabled?

Have your Geo-filter set how you normally would then try to join party chat. Look at the map and watch for anything that comes up as a caution triangle or padlock icon. Click it and a host descriptor box should appear below the map. You will see an ID that is alphanumeric. Copy and paste that here so I can add it to the cloud. If there is an update button drag the bar to 100% and hit allow. You should be able to connect from now on. If there is no update button then its very important I get its ID.

Does the A40 TR comes with the MixAmp Pro TR? That's the same MixAmp I have.

It's very strange and I don't understand why but it honestly happens nearly every single time I play Xbox.

I think this MixAmp connects the actual chat over USB whereas the older ones only powered over USB (I have an older MixAmp and I don't think this ever happened), could be related to that I suppose.

When I go for dinner, and leave myself in party, I'll turn my MixAmp off so I don't cause any weird feedback from putting my headphones down...

Every single time I come back and turn the mixamp on it gives me the message (I forget if it's network or privacy settings), I turn it off again and on again, it's gives a reconnecting message and then the problem resolves every time.

When I play this evening, I'll check which message it is I'm getting.

Also, double-check all your Xbox privacy settings, I think the last Xbox dash update might have reset some of the settings.

If it's a chat server, then what Fraser said. This has also happened to me before but not for quite a long time.

Yes the Mixamp came with the headphones.  I'll have to look at the Xbox Privacy settings again...

Yes both cloud settings are enabled.  I'll look for the ID the next time it  happens.
