Centurion 47th
Hi everyone, I have a problem, me and my brother with Netduma router and 2 consoles X1 can't play together co-op campaign and it is weird another thing; if we try to chat on active text, everyone can't read other texting. But when we removed Netduma and connect 2 consoles X1 at another router basic, all of these things works well... What is the error then? Thanks in advance for any reply or help. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 22, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 22, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! You likely have the Geo-filter enabled on 1 or both of your devices. Theres no need to have it enabled if you're just playing Co-Op so disable it and see if that resolves your issue.
BENORMOUS
There's also no need to have it enabled if you are playing multiplayer,GOW runs on dedicated servers, you just choose your server in game

Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted July 4, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 4, 2017 Hi both, thanks for reply. I tried to disabled on consoles, like the attached picture. But it still doesn't works... What NAT type do you get on your Xbox's using the Netduma? Are you using UPnP, port forwarding or both? (If both, disable one or the other - you should never use both). This issue could be caused if one of your consoles has a different NAT to the other. Here's a guide regarding NAT: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000022359-how-do-i-open-my-nat-
Centurion 47th
Both consoles have Open Nat. When I play other games like Destiny or Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, it is all okay. Only Gears 4 is weird... I guess it is a particular case where need study and hope you can test it with same situation. (UPnP from Netduma works well for consoles, see attached picture) Thanks

(UPnP from Netduma works well for consoles, see attached picture) Thanks Well that's great that you both have an open NAT - issues can often occur with getting an open NAT on two consoles. Are you using a VPN at all, or is there anything else unique about your setup? I'm wondering if GoW 4 and your chat service require particular ports to be opened to work, so that could be worth trying. It is odd that disabling the Geo-filter does not solve the issue, since the Netduma works just like a standard router with it disabled.
Centurion 47th
I agree with you. It is weird also, I tried to set factory reset a lot of times but no results... Reminder: Gears 4 works well when I play with other players on world, like horde or pvp, I can chat with them. My situation is the following with 2 points where there are the problems, in my apartment there are two consoles X1 S, we have the router with DSL for internet and one cable is forwarded to Netduma R1 with two cable LAN to 2 consoles. When me and my brother start to play Co-Op Campaign, doesn't works. My brother is always kicked with error when I am host (same situation if my brother is host). But when we play horde or pvp is okay.... Active Text on screen doesn't works in any situation: co-op campaign, horde, pvp... When we switched two cable LAN from Netduma to normal router base, it works all... WEIRD! About your answer, we don't use VPN. If you need more details or pictures then let me know, I wanna solve it....
Centurion 47th
SOLVED! That was cookies... in Miscellanous Settings. I tried to enable it so that fixed the value in Geofilter and it was still off. Worked it! Thanks for your patience. Have a nice day

Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted July 6, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 6, 2017 Yes, the cookies had not saved it being disabled. Interesting - make sure that whenever you reboot your Netduma, you do it through Settings > Miscellaneous. That way your settings will be 'hard saved'. Thank you for your solution, I'm glad it's working and I hope you enjoy GoW 4! Let us know if you have any more questions.
