ggkthx
I have had the Netduma for about a year and a half now. For the past 2-3 weeks, the Netduma requires a reboot at least twice daily if not there wouldn't be any internet for my entire house (wireless/wired). Also, I know it is about to disconnect me because whenever I'm gaming(CSGO), I will experience lag spikes which makes it literally unplayable. I am on the latest firmware. Router is placed nowhere near any microwave, cordless phones and also in the middle of the living room where no other mobile devices are in close proximity. I have disabled the VPN feature and pretty much using vanilla settings.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted May 26, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted May 26, 2017 If you're directly connected to the hub, do you get the same issues? Make sure the Ethernet is firmly plugged in - even if it's slightly out it can cause ping spikes and other problems. Otherwise try a new Ethernet cable connecting the hub to the R1. ggkthx
Yes sir. I am directly connected to the modem via ethernet cable. Nothing's changed since I got the Netduma the first time lol. It just started acting up in recent weeks. Currently using another ethernet cable and we'll see if this continues.

ggkthx
HI, just a quick update. The issue still persists even with the new ethernet cable. I noticed it usually happens either when there is a sudden surge of number of users connecting to the network or when there's large activity or traffic happening. Try this guide out: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022405-why-does-the-netduma-wifi-keep-dropping-out- Definitely try changing your channel to a less congested one. That could very well solve it based on what you've said. Let us know how you get on
ggkthx
Hey Jack, that advice works great in the beginning. Thing is, my wired devices are dropping connection too.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted June 11, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted June 11, 2017 Hey Jack, that advice works great in the beginning. Thing is, my wired devices are dropping connection too. If this issue is persisting even when the Netduma is not connected, your issue lies with your ISP equipment / setup. You could try setting static IP address on your consoles and seeing if they remain connected, though if they're dropping even when wired they will likely still have problems. You will likely need to contact your ISP or buy a new modem to resolve this issue from how it sounds. If you'd like, you could run a pingplotter test to get a better understanding of your connection, though this may not give away why your Internet keeps going down. ggkthx
Hey Jack, my setup is as such ISP > Netduma. All my devices are connected to the Netduma (wired and wireless). I just did a reset via the button behind the Netduma as the interface was severely slow(prolly cos I was trying to set up the VPN). All seems well so far. Will keep you guys updated again. ggkthx
I guess the fix is to enable Wifi Workaround. Ever since I did, I have had lesser intermittent disconnections via Wifi. If it helps, I have 12 devices connected to the R1 at any one time.
