Best settings for competitive 4v4 moshpit on Infinite Warfare.

Recommended Posts

I have had the Netduma for awhile now and still can't find settings that work for competitive 4v4 pubs on the past 2 CODS on Xbox One. Bullet detection is awful but I do fine in public matches vs worse players. Any suggestions? I have 60 down 6 up with a ping in the 35-40 range so I don't understand why I get horrible bullet detection?

Hey, welcome to the forum!

As you're not able to use the Geo-filter in a private game you'll need to rely on congestion control. Firstly you should make sure that ALL devices are connected to the R1, disable the WiFi on your hub if it has it to ensure devices don't automatically try to connect. Make sure your console is connected via ethernet and not WiFi. Use 70/70 anti-flood to start with (you can experiment with this to find what works best for you. Put your console in hyper traffic.

It's not private match. It's 4v4 pubs, it's called competitive because it's 4v4 and different rules, but it's definitely different servers than regular 6v6 pubs. I don't understand why I get horrible bullet detection.

I have had this router for over a year so I have tried all those basic settings you tell everyone but those settings are not good for United States players.

Ahh I see. You could try using ping assist exclusively, home in the ocean, strict on, ping assist 0.

The settings I described were purely for congestion control and therefore would work regardless of location.

So put my home in the ocean and not on where I live? Ping on 0 and strict mode ticked? Cookies is the only misc setting I have ticked........ My best settings which could sound weird are reactive not preemptive, 37% down 36%up on anti flood. Congestion control don't matter cause only my xbox and my cell is on the router I live by myself. So I have tried everything over the past 2 CODs. The reason it's odd is because my cousin has the same Internet as me but he has a normal modem from TWC and his runs smooth as hell.

Sorry I mistyped, if you want to filter by ping exclusively. Location in the ocean with strict on (so nothing can be allowed within your radius) and ping assist set to the number you want. Would recommend a ping that is 10-20ms above your base ping. If that works for you then thats the most important thing. Your phone could initiate background updates in which case that could cause lag spikes so still a good idea to utilise congestion control.

He could have a more stable line than you, theres multiple variables there.

Alright I guess I'll keep trying different things because it feels like I have definitely tried the ping assist to different numbers so I don't think that's it. Might try other router and see if I see anything different and that should let me know if it's my Internet. Although everytime I test it on computer or xbox the speeds are consistent, just game play is shitty. Thanks tho hope something works, I've been trying for almost 2 years to get it consistent gameplay and I'm losing my mind lol. Thanks tho for he help

Currently only using my phone. Computer crashed getting new one.

Crashed a few days ago and won't turn back on Haha, was a bummer. So only got my phone to upload onto the forum.

Assuming you're on mobile Chrome or something similar, just hit "request desktop site/version" when you create a new thread. I'm on my phone right now: I'll post a couple of screenshots as examples ;)

You can access your Netduma GUI via your phone browser to get the screenshots. Then just hit Choose file, select the screenshots you need and then press Attach This File before pressing Add Reply

These are my screenshots from running a test on the Netduma. Let me know why my bullet reg is trash half the time. And when people shoot me I literally get melted everytime . Every bullet they shoot that should hit me it does. But my bullets don't do that.

Your base ping is around 30 and it fluctuates up to 40ish. So you won't get a game below 30ms. It could just be the Google server though. Can you provide the other screenshots asked for please on the link I gave as we can then optimise settings.

That's alot of screenshots. Can you just tell me what would help you the most figureit out . I don't use host filtering since I don't play pub matches. Anti flood is reactive and bandwidth 60 down 6 up. Cookies is only thing ticked in settings. No ipv6, I don't know what any of this means I'm just going by YouTube videos. My cousin lives down the street with same Internet but less speeds with a normal modem and somehow his COD runs smoother.

Having re read your first post it seems like you're getting the best ping possible considering your base ping. Your cousin likely has a lower base ping.

Other than congestion control settings that I already mentioned, only have UPnP OR port forwarding enabled, not both. WiFi, UPnP & port forwarding disabled on your hub.

Set static IPs for your consoles in DHCP lease. Make sure you're playing wired as well.

I want to show you some of these clips. Can I send them to your twitter if I'm able to. Even a 6 second clip won't load on here.

You could send it on Twitter if you wish, yes. If you like you could upload to Youtube and attach a link here?
